PROGRAM CONTENTS:

* INTRODUCTION                                                 
- welcome, talk about individual and team expectations & goals
- introduction outdoor experiential learning and team building   
- safety and guidelines briefing

* SOCIALIZATION GAMES
- “ice breakers” designed to encourage people to interact,
communicate and to familiarize them with one another

* TRUST GAMES
- get the group comfortable working together closely
- calculated risk taking, trust and support
GROUP INITIATIVES – LOW ROPES & CHALLENGE COURSE

  • group problem solving tasks that individually isolate
    a single teamwork tool (such as communication) or
    collectively test those elements in combination
  • every team member will need to participate,
    develop  support and collaboration – if one falls,
    everyone starts over!
  • activities are followed by a brief team discussion
    where team members share their experiences and
    talk about team roles, dynamics and learning


DEBRIEFING

  • under guidance of the team trainer, team members
    are asked to reflect on their program experience
    and to share points of learning  that they believe
    occurred
  • discussion can take free form and shift from topic to
    topic or team trainer carefully can assist team
    members to come to their own conclusions and  to
    learn what can be taken back and applied to their
    daily lives.
